Reshaping business and the world by leveraging knowledge intangibles

The knowledge balance sheet is the systematic stocktaking of knowledge including all the necessary activities to enforce, administrate and using the knowledge.

I am going to write my senior thesis about that topic and the reason why I present it in my speech is once I heard about the possibility to balance knowledge I got affected by it. Since we live in the information age where natural resources like oil are declining knowledge become more and more important. This should concern everybody, states as well as individuals. A state cannot longer hold a competitive position to other states in counting only on natural resources and an individual has to keep in mind that only life-long learning will be the key to a career. Therefore we should use the knowledge balance sheet as a tool to orientate us in the world of knowledge. I hope you will enjoy or at least curious about it.

Thanks for sharing this Sedat. I often use the expression that IC=IT because it is increasingly hard to separate the two. I am now reading From Poverty to Prosperity: Intangible Assets, Hidden Liabilities a.... The message is not that new to those in our community but it is put so simply and so strongly: the key to the future is in repeatable processes, what we call structural capital. In this book, they use the analogy of recipes a lot. I look forward to digesting your documents and getting back to you.
Thank you, Mary,

IT = Helps IC

In a book is the authors opinion, the solution is the recipe.
There are many theories for solutions of the intangible value there, many are afraid of the solution.
"Change His mind, sometimes takes more courage to persist than in his view."
Many scientists had not the courage to admit that they want a solution but only about the debate.

More objective for an IC, they need IT to be able to compare it to a person or group also delivers only a subjective results.
