I won't go into it here. We all know that this is a very crude way of measuring intangibles (as basically a plug number between market value and tangible book value).
The important thing here is the magnitude of the difference. This intangibles information gap is in many ways an indicator of the failure of our current accounting and management paradigms to deal with the shift from the industrial to the knowledge era.
It is up to communities like ours to help governments and businesses fill in this gap.
